6/22/2008 - Portuguese book collection added!

As always, another language added, just the way you like it! This time, Portuguese, with 177 million total speakers (2005); we've got learning tools, children's books and novels for your learning pleasure!

6/10/2008 - Better Navigation, yay!

Well, the left hand "language menu" has just been upgraded, and I think it will be a lot easier to see what's going on. We're offering too many languages to list all the subcategories too. So now it just shows the language name and the subcategories of only the language you're interested in. Hopefully this will bring more order to the page, and it will allow us to add more and more languages and keep the clutter down.

5/16/2008 - Introducing International Music Collections!

You can now find, in the Music Section, a variety of collections of international music. Hopefully it's music that's new to you and will broaden your horizons. In any case, I hope you enjoy the collections as all of the songs are hand picked by me :)

If you see that I've missed something you were looking forward to seeing in the list, or if you really hate some of the songs in a collection, feel free to let me know.

5/14/2008 - Flash cards and a Facelift!

Hello, Tim here. After many months of tweaking I'm finally ready to make some upgrades to the site. You may notice the facelift the site has recieved, as well as the new category "Flash Cards" (currently in select languages only; more to come VERY soon). Hopefully the new interface will make it easier to find the language and category you're looking for. And don't forget to check out the flash cards for your language.

I'm always open to comments and questions about anything, and I would especially like some feedback on the Flash Cards. They are somewhat different from other flash card programs / websites you may have used in the past, so let me know what you think.

2/20/2007 - Unbox Video Available

So, now you can go to the Films section and browse through a vast quantity of foreign films, watch movie trailers and previews right in your browser without ever leaving or having to start up Windows Media... and best of all, you can DOWNLOAD full length movies right from the same interface right to your computer for just a couple bucks!

I think I've found some pretty interesting and obscure foreign films for your viewing pleasure, so Enjoy! And if you know of something I have left out, please let me know and I'll do my best to add it to the collection.

7/11/2007 - Initial Language Bear release

TheLanguageBear.com has been officially released in its infancy to the world. Please be gentle with me! In an effort to get the web page started a few popular languages have been chosen to be released with this infant site. We'll be adding languages all the time and we'll also be adding books to all of our existing languages, so if you don't see something you like, check back with us soon!
